PHOENIX - Candidate for Navajo Nation President, Debbie Nez-Manuel, participated in the Valley's first Presidential Forum on Saturday, May 23rd hosted by 2SLGBTQIA+ advocate Trudie Jackson at Grace Lutheran Church.
Candidate Nez-Manuel was joined by other candidates, Andrew Curley, Alexander Chambers, Crystalyne Curley, Justin Jones and Jordon Begay.
The candidates drew their questions randomly, and provided a timed response fielding questions that ranged from issues 2SLGBTQIA+ endure, to potential policy changes each candidate would support to assist the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

This was a day to connect, empower, validate, to heal, to rebuild, and to advocate.
Many continue to seek justice for decades seeing no real improvement in tribal laws.
"We need reliable infrastructure," said Candidate Nez-Manuel. "We need framework that will stand behind our laws, and to create new laws that coincide within current day societies."

Candidate Nez-Manuel streamed her launch on her Facebook Page, she spoke strong in areas of change from Public Safety, Social Services, overlooked funding sources, and much more changes the Nation desperately needs.
